Friday! Hooray!
Today I get to spend the day with one of my favorite groups of people- my Student Council! Every year, we take a few trips to Ronald McDonald House & cook them a meal, donate pop tabs that the school has collected, and have a great time doing it! This year my StuCo is all girls, so that's probably going to turn our annual Target trip into an epic one! ;) Today's Target plans are to find some crafty things to turn into teacher Christmas gifts. [This was the girls' idea- totally after my own heart! :)]
Thankful Day 4: My boys
They always keep life interesting, and even though I know I'm far from the perfect Mommy, their little smiles and kisses are the absolute best reminders of why I do the things I do. <3
Thankful Day 5: My job
Stressful? Yes. Hectic? Yes. Worth it in the end? Yep.
Also. My computers class just started a Pinterest Project (which they looooooooooove. Best idea ever!), and here are some of the pins that the kiddos have sent me this week. I can't even handle some of them! The number of HP pins I've been sent.. I love it!
Thankful Day 6: Youth Group
I've learned so much from this group of kiddos, and I'm thankful that we've gotten the chance to work with them and build these relationships. (Speaking of- we've got a lot of youth stuff this month! Tomorrow is game night, next weekend is convo... whoop!)
I know- short and sweet post, but hey-- Monkey is awake already, and I'm going for those extra snuggles!! :)
What a great thing to do at Ronald McDonald House!! Have fun!! I would be interested in hearing more about your Pinterest project...I also teach computers!! Have a great weekend! So glad I found your blog via the link-up!!
ReplyDeleteI had the kids all create a profile on there using their school emails and they had to follow me- I also made a school account. They have to pin at least 10 pins to a board for each of their classes, plus a few "personal" boards (just for me, quotes, fun ideas). It's something different, but I have never had a group of students so excited! They also get really excited when they find real ideas for their other classes... I love seeing what sparks their interest!
