May

May

I celebrated Star Wars Day in style with some students.

StuCo volunteered at Ronald McDonald House.

I introduced a class of students to the zoo- and petting stingrays!

My mom got married!! So much fun. So much love.

 My mom's parents.

 Love my boys!

How many people invite their ex-mother in law (and sister in law!) to their wedding? I'm so thankful that my mom and dad's parents stayed close throughout my life. Grandma refers to my mom as another daughter.. all the love.

 The new fam.

<3 Father-daughter dance. He danced with his daughter, followed by me and my sister. So sweet.

We played at church.

 We went to track meets.

They won conference for the first time ever! #proudcoachswife

 More SnapChat.

 More selfies.

We celebrated graduations.. and got to see our favorites!!

 We went to the park.

 We went swimming.

And here's the before of my classroom. I got to paint this summer! The after is coming. :)

Only one more month and then we're caught up!

March

Since I am so behind (as my bs girls keep telling me), I'm going to update you month by month this week so that I can semi-quickly get back on track.

March

In March, we had a lot of fun with SnapChat but seriously- who hasn't had a ton of fun with SnapChat filters?

At school, I...

Participated in spirit week for Read Across America Week.
Favorite Book Character- Luna Lovegood
 Dream Job- Miss Frizzle
 Dr. Seuss Character- Thing 1 & 2

We built rollercoasters to better understand Newton's laws ... so much fun.

I fully implemented flexible seating! The kids and I BOTH love it!!

As a family, we...
read a ton of books.

Watched a lot of movies. Yes, that's DuckTales.

Sent a care package to our friends' family... their youngest daughter was diagnosed with leukemia, and we wanted to show some physical love to go along with the spiritual love we've been sending them through prayer. If you're interested in following along and supporting their journey through this battle, check out Love for Lyla on Facebook.

Our youth group stuffed 1,000 eggs for Easter.

We went to a ton of daddy's track meets to hang out.
Someone showed me just how big he was when he pushed his brother in the stroller. #slowdown

We went as a family to watch Batman vs. Superman.

We celebrated that Jesus loved us enough that he paid the price for our sins.

I bought a $5 chair to redo for my classroom.

We spent a day at the zoo and had the best time!

We attended a church camp retreat with some of my favorite people.

And had a Nerf War with two other youth groups!!!

A lot of pictures, not a lot of words... but a start back to blogging!! :)
